readysetread.ca is a unique platform designed to help teachers assess students' reading comprehension through interactive quizzes. Our goal is to create an engaging way for students to demonstrate their understanding of the books they have read, while providing teachers with insightful tools to track and evaluate their progress.
What We Do
- Quiz-Based Learning: Our platform offers a variety of quizzes tailored to different books. Each quiz includes 5 random questions, allowing students to test their knowledge and comprehension in a fun and interactive way.
- Teacher Support: Teachers can create evaluation groups, generate unique access codes for quizzes, and view detailed results of their students' performances.
- Secure and Private: We prioritize the privacy of our users. Only authenticated teachers have access to student quiz results, and all data is managed securely.
How It Works
- Select a Book: Students can browse the list of available books and select one that they have read.
- Enter Access Code: To access a quiz, students enter an access code provided by their teacher, along with their first and last name.
- Take the Quiz: Each quiz consists of 5 randomly selected questions. Students answer the questions to the best of their knowledge.
- View Results: Upon completion, students can see their results, while teachers can access detailed reports to assess their progress.
Our Philosophy
We believe that reading is a gateway to imagination, knowledge, and personal growth. By providing a platform that encourages students to read more and think critically about what they’ve read, we aim to foster a lifelong love for books. Reading should be something fun and personal, and we think that allowing students to choose from a wide variety of books can help them explore what kind of reader they are and what kind of books they like to read. As such, our quizzes are designed to help teachers offer a rich and varied collection of books to their students without overburdening them with creating and grading evaluations.
Who We Are
readysetread.ca is managed by a dedicated team, led by Véronique Hamel, who believes in the power of education and the importance of supporting teachers with the right tools. Our team works closely with teachers to ensure that our platform meets their needs, helping them create a more engaging learning environment for their students.
